With his Grumman F-4F-3 Wildcat of the famous ( Felix the Cat squadron) and shot down 5, instantly making him an Ace, as well as the first naval aviator to receive the Congressional Medal of Honor in WWII. Butch was killed in action a year and a half later while leading the Navy’s first night time raid from a carrier. Chicago O’Hare International Airport was re-named after him in 1949.

He was the co-founder and leader of the Chicago Outfit and was known for his ruthlessness and violence in eliminating rivals. Including the “ St Valentine’s Day Massacre in 1929. Capone earned his nickname from facial wounds sustained during a brothel fight in NYC where his face was slashed with a knife for insulting a woman. Finally convicted of tax evasion, he served time at the infamous Alcatraz. Capone died due to syphilis of the brain at age 48 in 1947 at his Miami Beach home.
