Located in Bavaria, in the southern tip of Deutschland. This 19th century castle was built at the foot of the Alps on the German/Austrian/Swiss boarders by King Ludwig II. It was constructed from 1869-1886. The name comes from Ludwig’s fascination for “ Swans”. It’s one of the most popular castles in Europe, and yes Walt Disney’s Cinderella Castle was inspired by it.
