A little bit about myself…

My love of art started at a young age. My mom Diane has been a successful Interior Designer for over 50 years, and sold her oil paintings on the side. My dad Lew also had a flair for drawing, building model airplanes, and a deep love of aviation he passed on to me. I was a quiet kid that spent a lot of time drawing, doodling and painting. My dad took me to many airshows in Chicago and later Florida. We spent countless hours at hobby stores as well as watching & photographing the planes taking off and landing at O’Hare and later Miami International Airports. He got me hooked on building model airplanes at age 13, and the die was cast. While honing my model building skills I also studied and learned about many aircraft as well as World History, especially WW2 & jets. This has led to a lifelong love of airplanes and flying.

Oil painting didn’t come as easily or as young. Despite 2 years at the now defunct & former Art Institute of Ft Lauderdale, I never had a painting class or learned color theory. I’m proud to say I’m completely self-

taught. The majority of my work so far reflects my love of airplanes, tropical scenery, especially beaches and re-creating cool places I’ve visited and photographed. My acute observational skills and attention to detail have helped me enhance my visual interpretation of my art as I travel the world. From the amazing Florida skies, clouds, palms, Atlantic Ocean, Europe & Hawaii. As well as machines that astonish and amaze in the air, I am surrounded by endless inspiration. I hope my art peeks your imagination, connects with your emotions and brings you some sense of visual enjoyment & gratification!
