Originally built in 1292 and located in Walbrzych, Poland in the southwest corner of the country. This beautiful castle owned and lived in by Medieval kings as well as the von Hochberg family. Ksiaz Castle has storied & colorful history. In 1944 it was seized by the Nazi’s. The SS supervised a vast underground tunnel system below the structure, part of “Project Riese Complex” a projected Fuhrer HQ for Hitler. At the end of WWII the castle was occupied and damaged by the Red Army. Today it’s visited by 300,000 tourists annually, and rented out for special events. Ksiaz has 400 rooms, and is considered one of the 7 Wonders of Poland.
